35mm Film

Over the years, I’ve had a number of film cameras. The small 110 point and shoot and even a disc camera, which was terrible.

I’ve never had a 35mm camera! The past decade I’ve used digital, but recently had a hankering to try film. I want to develop the film myself, which used to be tricky. But I saw a kickstarter for a Lab-Box that lets you develop 35mm film easily at home. It’s not available yet, but I was chomping at the bit. I borrowed Gale’s old 35mm camera, bought a 35mm film and headed out.

These are the results.

DeFries Gardens

DeFries is a hidden garden up in northern Indiana near Elkhart.   A little bit of a trip for us, but well worth the visit to find this little piece of England.   The centerpiece garden is built in a circle to represent the year.   A brick path lets you walk through the seasons.  Two follies invite you in and a raised deck let you get a fine overview from above.
